Food Drive & Christmas Food Baskets

Continuing tradition.

Since Philo’s inception in 1918, the group has provided holiday food baskets for local families in need. Members coordinate a canned food drive within the school district, solicit additional food basket donors and coordinate with local charitable agencies to ensure families and senior citizens in need receive a food basket each holiday season.

Philo delivers filled boxes of canned food directly to House of Neighborly Service with the help of committee members and Exodus Moving.
·No sorting is needed this year due to changes related to COVID-19.

In addition, House of Neighborly Service is using gift cards to coordinate Christmas baskets due to Covid. Philo members can donate gift cards or give Christmas baskets to House of Neighborly Service.
